Brake Caliper MOQ, Packaging & Lead Time: A Guide for Importers
MOQ, packaging and lead time for brake caliper orders are confirmed per product reference, quantity and stock availability. What importers should prepare before requesting a quotation.
MOQ, packaging and lead time for brake caliper orders are not fixed catalogue numbers. They are confirmed individually — based on the product reference, the required quantity, stock availability and the specific order conditions.
That is why two quotations for "the same caliper" can differ. This guide explains what is actually being confirmed, and what importers and wholesalers should prepare so a quotation can be settled quickly.
Why MOQ Is Confirmed Per Order, Not Published as a Number
A published MOQ would have to cover every reference, every packing configuration and every level of stock. In practice these vary:
A reference with stock on hand and a reference that has to be scheduled for production are different situations.
Complete caliper assemblies and small components such as guide pins or seals are packed and handled differently.
A single-reference order and a mixed list of ten references are reviewed differently.
For these reasons, the workable minimum is confirmed against your actual list. Send the OE numbers and the quantity you need per reference, and the MOQ can be confirmed for that specific combination — including whether the quantity can be spread across several references.
MOQ by Product Type: What to Include in Your Request
When you ask about MOQ, describe the same scope you plan to order. The main product types are handled as follows:
Complete caliper assemblies — specify the OE reference, the required side (LH/RH) and the quantity per side. Our current caliper range is listed under brake caliper assemblies.
Caliper repair kits and components — kit contents differ by reference. Confirm what the kit must contain (seals, boots, pistons, guide pins) when you ask; see the caliper repair kits range for context.
Mixed orders — several references in one order are reviewed together. Whether a combined order meets the workable minimum depends on the references and stock; this is confirmed individually.
Caliper repair kit components — kit contents are confirmed per reference before quotation.
Packaging: Neutral or Customized — Confirm Before Quotation
Two packaging options are normally discussed:
Neutral packaging — the product is supplied without a specific customer brand. This is the simplest option and is generally the first to be confirmed.
Customized or branded packaging — customer artwork, labels or boxes. This requires confirmation of artwork files, quantities and any additional preparation.
For calipers, the packaging discussion usually also covers practical identification details: the OE reference and left/right marking on the label, and whether each caliper is packed separately or as a left+right pair. If your warehouse relies on barcode or OE labels, say so at the inquiry stage — it is easier to arrange before production than after.
Customized packaging is quoted separately from the product price; do not assume it is included. For the wider list of supplier-side checks, including packaging responsibility, see how to choose a brake caliper supplier.
Lead Time: What Is Confirmed and What Is Not
Lead time depends on more than the quantity:
Whether the references are available from stock or need production scheduling.
Whether the order needs customized packaging, which adds preparation steps.
How complete the order information is. Missing OE details, unclear LH/RH quantities or an undecided packing method all delay the final confirmation.
We do not publish fixed lead-time days for every product, because that would not be accurate for every order. Lead time is confirmed when the order details are settled — reference, quantity, packing and destination. If you are working to a delivery window, state the target date in your inquiry so it can be reviewed with the quotation.
A Practical Inquiry Checklist
A complete inquiry shortens the confirmation process. Include:
OE reference for each item (and the vehicle application if the number is uncertain)
Quantity per reference and per side (LH / RH)
Packaging requirement: neutral, or customized with artwork
Destination port or country
Trade term you intend to use (for example EXW, FOB)
Any target delivery date
The brake caliper RFQ guide explains how these details affect quotation comparability. If you are planning a multi-reference order, the bulk buying checks list what to verify before committing — including packaging and delivery requirements.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why is there no fixed MOQ on the website?
Because the workable minimum depends on the product reference, quantity and stock availability at the time of your request. A number published today would be wrong for other configurations. Send your list and the MOQ is confirmed for it.
Q: Can I order mixed models — several references in one inquiry?
Yes — mixed-reference inquiries are normal in wholesale trade. The references are reviewed together as one request, and whether the combination works — including how it is packed and shipped — is confirmed against your actual list. Whether a combined list reaches the workable minimum depends on the specific references and stock, so it is confirmed individually rather than by a general rule.
Q: This is our first order. Does that change the MOQ?
A first order is confirmed on the same basis as any other: the product reference, the required quantity and stock availability. If a smaller starting order helps evaluate the cooperation, say so in the inquiry — it will be reviewed with the quotation rather than assumed.
Q: Is packaging charged separately?
Product and standard neutral packaging are normally quoted together. Customized or branded packaging may involve additional preparation and cost — any difference is stated in the quotation, so the total is confirmed before the order rather than assumed.
Q: What should I prepare for the first inquiry?
The shorter the better: OE numbers, quantity per side (LH/RH), your packaging preference and the destination. Anything not yet decided — packing details, trade term, target date — can be settled while the quotation is prepared; the RFQ guide lists everything that helps.
Q: Is neutral packaging always available?
Neutral packaging is the standard starting point and is confirmed with the quotation. If your market requires specific labelling, describe the requirement in the inquiry.
Q: Can you produce packaging with my brand?
Customized packaging can be discussed during quotation. Artwork, quantities and any additional preparation are confirmed before the order.
Q: When is lead time confirmed?
Lead time is confirmed after the references, quantities, packing and destination are settled — not from a catalogue. If you have a target delivery date, include it in the inquiry.
